Sonic Gis from August 2023
I had started reworking some of my Sonic gijinkas after violently getting back into the series after playing MoSTH. Quickly I realized I hadn't drawn any since... 2014. So this these were drawn nearly a decade after the last time I did them, ack. Actually the first gijinkas I ever drew, back when I was like 9 or something, were Sonic ones, but you will never see those.
One thing that should be noted with my gis is that they're not either "literally the same thing, but with human designs" or "total human AU, like a high school AU". I like to keep the essense of the original alive, but allow for changes that make sense with how characters are reworked into a humanized state. Basically, it's an AU, but one that goes alongside canon, rather than being a totally different world. Below are some thinkings on that:
